Scrap Diggity Dog

I almost feel giddy.

Kathy and I had such an awesome time on our little getaway this weekend. It was absolutely perfect. We got to stay in Deb's timeshare in Estes Park and had the perfect retreat for a scrapbooking marathon. Great weather (although cold!), wildlife, good food, comfy clothes, scrapping and talking and eating... perfect.
Here's the view from the front door of our cabin. It's hard to see the mountains beyond, but they are absolutely breathtaking.

We bought groceries and stayed in most of the time, except to shop a bit and go out for lunch on Friday. We probably scrapped a total of 16 hours and collectively accomplished 28 pages ~ very productive for the two of us! We simply had a perfect retreat from the busyness of life and motherhood. Mom came and took care of the kids and Pop so we could do this with such a minimal schedule upheaval on this end - incredibly thankful for her and Deb and our hubbies who made it all happen.

That said, it's good to be home! Chris is at a band field trip and should be home soon; Josh is playing with a friend; Grace is watching Mickey Mouse; Pop is watching a football game, and Ro and I are settling in to start Season 6 of 24 - a perfect weekend to be sure.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend ~

xoxo
