Listen...

I'm not sure if you ever listen to the music on my playlist, but lately I've nad a Trace Adkins song playing when you first pull it up. If you haven't listened to all the words, you should. I'm not a big country fan - I didn't even know who Trace Adkins was before Celebrity Apprentice, but this song is poignant and rings of truth. It's a reminder for me in seasons like this, when things are not as perfect in certain areas as they should be, that we're so very blessed anyway - and one day we're going to look back and miss this exact time in our lives.

So while I'm on the subject of music... I was in church this morning (and glad to be!) and they mixed things up a little bit, playing more worship music at the end of the service instead of all of it (or most of it) at the beginning. It was a time to go out with worship on our hearts and also to reflect upon the teachings that had been presented.

But before we began to sing, in a quiet moment, I was reminded of a song that I used to listen to quite often... and I began to sing in my heart the lovely lyrics. They were just the words I needed to "hear" this morning, too, like a whisper... Isn't God cool like that?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find it on Playlist to add it, or anywhere else on the 'net, for the matter, so you're just going to have to listen to me "sing" it to you, from the best of my memory. (At least you don't have to listen to me hit painful notes!)
