Just a Few More Days...

Evans, CO, but counting down!

C isn't feeling well today. She hasn't had much of an appetite the past several days but today she is suffering from either a cold or allergies instead of the stomach ills she's had recently. She and J are patiently waiting for the debut of High School Musical 2 in another hour. I think they'd be more keyed up if G hasn't woken us up at 5 a.m. for the past 3 days in a row; we're all pretty wiped out.

Today we chose paint colors and scheduled the painter. It's getting closer! Pretty exciting and fun. We are painting pretty much everything but the bedrooms and basement; we'll do those later ourselves I think. We also ran a bunch of errands, checked out a new comic book shop, picked up J's new glasses (and check out how his black eye is nearly gone now), and bought our stove (on clearance, plus an additional 10% off - sweet!).

We are struggling with trying to get our funds out of our CA bank and into our CO bank by Monday, or Tuesday at the latest. Yes, I know it's the last minute, but with the major bank we had in CA we did not anticipate this being an issue in any way. It looks like on Monday morning Ro may have to drive into NM to the nearest branch to get a cashier's check. It's been pretty frustrating trying to figure out what to do all evening - literally we've spent about the last 2 1/2 hours on the phone with various banks and such, and this is the best we can figure out. We might see if we can get them to FedEx it, but I'm really afraid to risk the possibility it might not arrive by Tuesday morning.

Other than that stressful glitch, things are going pretty well. Everything is scheduled and in place for us to move in next week! The kids are excited for school and school shopping (which I can't do until I have a place to put it, since the car, hotel room, and storage unit are all FULL!). G's diarrhea is gone but the rash is being persistent. We got some new cream tonight so hopefully that will be better soon as well.

Got another smidgen of rain today, but all this rain isn't doing anything to green up our lawn. :) We'd hoped to get the utilities put in our names today but between all our running around and bank issues, the day got away from us. We'll try tomorrow but that might be my task on Monday while Ro is gone to the bank. :(
