We spent most of the day in Denver today. We had a rough morning here and ended up not leaving for Denver until around 11. Robert took care of his paperwork at HR, and then we treated the kids to a day at the Downtown Aquarium.
The Aquarium was lots of fun. We had an expensive but yummy lunch in the Aquarium Restaurant, where we sat right next to a huge tank and were able to watch all kinds of fish and shark swim. The kids were able to touch rays, and then we took in the great exhibits. This aquarium is a little different from most in that it talks about all kinds of habitats, including the rainforests and deserts. They even had live tigers and exotic birds on exhibit.
There was a desert exhibit which featured a Desert Tortoise that made me miss our Torti! They also had this thing that demonstrated how quick and how powerful flashfloods can be. That was pretty fun and we got wet.
When we got to the otter exhibit... wow... this one otter found G and did flip after flip after flip in front of her, pushing himself off the glass between himself and her. Honestly he must have done at least 20 flips. Another patron even commented, "Don't tell me that otter isn't having fun with that baby!" The kids all enjoyed our aquarium day and G was asleep before we even got out of the parking lot.
We've had quite a summer storm this afternoon and evening. Got some rain
as we left Denver and it rained pretty hard. C took a picture of the rainbow out the window, and we actually saw part of a second rainbow next to it. We stopped at WM for some goodies and it had quit raining, but it was pouring when we came out; of course we parked pretty far out. G wasn't so keen on that!

She's had pretty nasty diarrhea today and has a bad rash. Poor kid. She acts fine, though - spunky and feisty as ever - just stinky too. :)
